HOA Forum: The CAM Search: Dos and Don’ts

Is your HOA community currently self-managed, or working with a management company for day-to-day business affairs?  Many boards periodically review how their community’s needs are being met and whether their current approach continues to be the right fit. When exploring options, boards often weigh a variety of factors: cost, experience, location, and the level of support needed by the Board and homeowners.

 

For this month’s HOA Forum, the HOA Information and Resource Center is pleased to host Danaly Howe, Chief Relationship Officer of Westwind Management Group, LLC, as guest speaker. This session will cover:
 

  • Pros and cons of self-management vs. professional management 

  • How to evaluate your community’s needs and determine the scope of services

  • Tips for creating an effective Request for Proposal (“RFP”)

  • Key questions to ask when interviewing potential management partners
