On May 24, 2023, Governor Polis signed HB23-1105 into law. This bill creates two task forces aimed to investigate and present written reports on issues affecting those that work or live in HOAs in Colorado.
The Task Force's main priorities are to study issues confronting HOA homeowners' rights, including:
- Homeowners' associations' fining authority and practices
- Foreclosure practices
- Communications with homeowners
- Availability and method of making certain documents available to HOA homeowners in the association
