2023 Seller's Property Disclosure Forms (SPD) Have Been Updated

As a real estate practitioner, an approved education provider, or other interested party, this correspondence is being sent to notify you of an update to several real estate commission forms which were effective on January 1, 2023.

Previous versions made available on the Division of Real Estate’s website did not contain Commission-approved language and the Division apologizes for any inconvenience.

New HOA Information Officer Begins

The Division of Real Estate is pleased to announce that Nick Altmann is the new HOA Information Officer and will be leading the HOA Information and Resource Center.

Radon Professionals Licensure Affects Home Inspections

The Colorado Office of Radon Professionals began regulating Radon Measurement Professionals and Radon Mitigation Professionals on July 1, 2022. 

Consumers should hire a licensed professional in their area as part of the home inspection process, as a radon check is included in this safety inspection. This will ensure that proper measurement and/or mitigation is conducted.

Rice Insurance Services Center (RISC), a division of AssuredPartners NL, LLC, administers the Colorado Real Estate Commission’s group real estate errors and omissions policy. We manage claims made against Colorado real estate brokers, giving us insight into current issues brokers face. Recently, we have seen a trend in claims relating to electronic counteroffers.
